PRP - Plasma
PLASMA… GOD'S CREATION
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an all-natural treatment that uses the body’s cells to stimulate new cell growth. It is considered to be possibly the most promising skin rejuvenation treatment of the future due to its spectacular results.
These impressive results are achieved by body cells called platelets, which are a component of blood. Our blood consists of plasma, red blood cells, and white blood cells. Plasma contains water, platelets and other components. Upon their degradation, platelets release growth factors such as PDFG, TGF-β, VEGF, cytokines and other components, and so regeneration process begins.
Regeneration literally means creation of new blood tissues and vessels (angiogenesis), better oxygenation of the skin cells, activation of stem cells that are transformed into mature cells. In fact, this means that the healing capacity of the individual's blood is used to activate skin cells. So begins the production of collagen and elastic fibers, therefore, skin regeneration. Plasma has also proteins, trace elements, vitamins and other nutrients.
The first stage of the treatment involves collecting a small amount of blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the constituents of blood. Then, platelet-rich plasma is collected and, after a special process that facilitates degradation, it is injected into the areas requiring regeneration with a very fine needle. Local anesthesia is not necessary. The areas applied are the face, neck and décolleté, hands, as well as the body to treat stretch marks and the scalp for hair loss, especially for androgenetic alopecia.
This innovative treatment makes it an ideal therapy as it achieves superior rejuvenating results in face and body when dealing with dehydrated and damaged skin, photoaging, thin and deep wrinkles, acne scars, melasma (skin discoloration), dark circles, spots, stretch marks on breasts, buttocks and stomach, as well as saggy skin. It can also be used with great success to restore loose skin after pregnancy. It can also be combined with lipolysis treatments for skin rejuvenation. PRP improves skin tone and texture, and ensures a full revitalization. Autologous treatment can be combined with laser fractional RF, CO2 and peeling, with superior results. It can rejuvenate even difficult areas, such as neck and décolleté. PRP treatment is also recommended for preventing hair loss as a result of hereditary predisposition, and as a complementary therapy in cases of alopecia of any kind (androgenetic, areata, Telogen Effluvium, etc.).
Some people may experience skin irritation, which disappears within one to two hours, or bruising due to the injections, which disappears within two or three days. Depending on the condition being treated, you may need two to four sessions a year.
The treatment is perfectly safe, as it employs the use of patient’s own blood, and non-toxic, while there is no risk of being rejected by the body. No other components or agents are needed to achieve nothing but spectacular results. It is an all-natural treatment that uses the body’s inherent healing mechanism for faster healing and restoration of the skin.
All we have to do is to take good care of ourselves so that our blood be of high quality. A balanced diet, adequate hydration and some exercise could turn anyone into a youthful, attractive God’s creature (plasma in Greek)!!!
